The Event Center is an attractive venue for Weddings, Receptions, Trade Shows, Home Shows, RV Shows and Sales, Horse Shows and Equestrian Events, Team Building, Dances, Quinceañeras, Concerts and Festivals, Auto Shows and Sales, Fund Raisers, and many other indoor or outdoor events. The Event Center offers over 30,000 square feet under roof, twenty acres of lawn and outdoor space, plus thirty acres of parking.
In addition to the main facilities, the Event Center is home to the three ring Equestrian Center, Historic Rodgers House, Paddy Smith Park, and the working Agricultural History Museum. Most of these areas are available for rent and make a special setting for your very special gathering.
The Historic Rodgers House, built in the 1870’s by James Rodgers, now beautifies the front entrance to your Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds and serves as national landmark on Highway 152 East of Watsonville and West of Gilroy. The house contains archives chronicling the house’s history, including stories of the Rodgers family and the history of the Pajaro Valley. Several notable family photographs show John Steinbeck, the brother of Esther Rodgers, including one carving the family Thanksgiving turkey.
The historic house is now available for weddings and wedding receptions.

The Event Center is located on Highway 152 between Highway 101 and coastal route Hwy 1. It is also served by Watsonville Airport (WVI) for private aircraft and both San Jose (SJC) and Monterey (MRY) airports with scheduled air carrier service.
